The One Drop Changes Everything campaign hits new notes in November as students at New York’s High School of Fashion collaborate in a creative project to bring a fun and original graphic element to the “design your own bottle” page of the onemightydrop.com website, the heart and soul of the Foundation’s on-going consumer fragrance awareness campaign launched in early 2010.

The assignment: students will create an original design interpretation of the One Drop Changes Everything fragrance bottle icon that is the central hub of the onemightydrop.com website featuring the “design your own bottle” customizer. Tasked with imagining what one drop of fragrance might mean, the students will re-design the core image central to the icon bottle with their own visual interpretation based on guidelines of creativity, marketing and business goals.

Acting as guidance counselors for the students are The Science Project (www.tspxyz.com) and Yard (yardnyc.com), the creative agency behind the One Drop Changes Everything campaign. The students were inspired to unleash their artistic fragrance fantasy with these words: “Magnetic, kinetic, the force of fragrance can transform, reveal secrets, awaken fantasies and evoke memories. With each divine drop, you sense a change in your being, sending a message straight from the bottle. Words cannot describe what fragrance whispers loud as a roar. Who you are and how you want to be remembered lasts long after you leave the room. This is the power of one mighty drop.”

As well as obtaining extra credits for participating, the students will have the chance to see their winning efforts displayed on a number of phone kiosks in mid-town Manhattan and also win fragrance prizes including, for one outstanding winner, attending next year’s star-studded FiFi Awards evening. In addition, they are encouraged to use all social media platforms to exchange ideas, generate buzz about the project and get the word out to their fellow students.
